2025 BENEFICIARIES

Marly Cifranic

 2025 Primary Recipient

At the age of  just 33 years old, Marly Cifranic suffered a devastating stroke on January 28, 2025. Marly is the epitome of  a beautiful person inside and out: kind, loyal, silly, and proud of her faith. She is supportive and encouraging and shares her love of God and her coffee business with everyone she meets. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Marly, then you’ve experienced her calm, loving energy firsthand. She’s determined and brave, and most importantly, she is a fighter.

When Marly was 16, doctors discovered that she had an AVM in her brain. She’s experienced seizures throughout her life and has suffered a stroke before, but nothing of this magnitude. While it was something that her devoted husband, Nick, knew could happen again, nothing could have ever truly prepared him for the excruciating heartache that has followed.

Marly spent a grueling two and a half months in the hospital. Her initial CT scans showed over 10 major aneurysms and multiple smaller ones. The neurosurgeon's original plan was to embolize and repair them, but the surgery is extremely risky. In order to fully embolize all of the aneurysms, roughly 12 surgeries need to be performed approximately 2 weeks apart.

While her first  surgery was successful, the neurosurgeon expressed to Nick and Marly’s family that considering the extent of damage he found to her brain, he fears continuing on with the surgeries will do more harm than good. However, doing the surgeries is the only way to prevent her brain from bleeding again. Following the surgeon's advice, Marly was transferred to a long-term care facility to undergo physical therapy in hopes she will regain her cognitive function. Once progress is seen, they will continue with the surgeries. And in true Marly form, she is slowly but surely making miraculous strides in her recovery.

Nick is a humble and faithful man, and has simply asked for healing prayers. We are happy that the gift from the TGSC golf event can be used toward the costs of the long-term care facility for Marly, as his insurance only covers a limited stay.

LUCAS LiPINSKi

 2025 Recipient

Lucas was born with a rare genetic disorder called Spinocerebellar ataxia type 29.  In turn he is very low toned and unable to walk. He works tirelessly at therapy to increase his strength in hopes to be able to walk one day. He is the happiest little boy with a crazy sense of humor and a smile that lights up every room. His love for life and family is like no other. He loves sports and competition just like his three big brothers. So much so that he will be competing in the Special Olympics in May.

Lucas would like to be more independent in his everyday life as much as possible. His family hopes to be able to build a wheelchair assessable ramp so he is able to come and go from home without assistance.

Lucas poses outdoors with his mom, dad, and three brothers.
